Our Partners

Berkeley is blessed with a rich abundance of community groups and non-profits, from environmental groups to neighborhood associations to neighborhood gardens. We are excited to be working with existing organizations whose mission and activities overlap with that of Transition Berkeley. We will promote and support existing efforts, providing a holistic effort to look at all levels and areas of community resilience.

If you work with a group who you think would make a strong partnership with Transition Berkeley, please don't hesitate to contact us.

The Ecology Center

The Ecology Center provides the public with reliable information, tools, hands-on training, referrals, strategies, infrastructure, and models for sustainable living.

The Sustainable Business Alliance (SBA) is a membership organization for local businesses committed to environmentally and socially responsible practices.

Berkeley resident Laurence Schetchman has been organizing weekend neighborhood garden parties for the past several years. The more than 2200 people on his listserv help each other out by leading or attending a garden party. Laurence's gatherings have helped to create close to 100 gardens in Berkeley.
