Transition
Berkeley

While some of our activities had been dormant during the past year, we've moved full steam ahead on others! Work is well underway to becoming a BEE CITY with help from CalPIRG students and volunteers, our Parks Dept. and schools. We've installed pollinating plants in four sites for now with lots more to come!  Our 2019 REPAIR CAFES kept hundreds of items in use! In early May we finished a REPAIR TRAINING with Cal students, and Berkeley High Students with support of our repair experts. Students attended online training sessions in apparel, bicycle, mechanical and electrical repair, and were introduced to community organizations, such as the Ecology Center and Berkeley Tool Lending Library. If you like what we're doing and would like to support these efforts and more, please make a donation. All donations welcome and tax deductible! Thank you and stay healthy and safe as we start in-person activities once again.

Community Climate Healing Circle - hosted by Mobilize Berkeley

Saturday, November 6th, 4 - 6 pm (PST) | Online

Cost: Free Register on Eventbrite

Mobilize Berkeley warmly invites you to join our third Community Climate Healing Circle event. This will be a space for all to come together and heal from the many challenges we face and share stories of resilience, regenerative practices and resources.

Event Agenda

We’ll be graced with music from Eve Decker, mindfulness teacher and musician and hear UC Berkeley students share poetry. We will also participate in the practice of active listening in small Empathy Circles, with guidance from Edwin Rusch, Founder of The Center for Building a Culture of Empathy

Green the Church leaders will help ground the event and will be guided by members of Mobilize Berkeley, which includes the UC Berkeley’s Student Environmental Resource Center, Transition Berkeley, NorCal Resilience Network and the Climate Emergency Mobilization Task Force

For anyone who needs special accommodations to fully participate in this online event, please contact Jed Lee at jedtlee@berkeley.edu.
